PG`s Project Engineering team based in Sande is responsible for delivering project engineering services to projects in PG`s Products business unit. We bring forward the technical deliveries from contract award to hand-over to client. We need experienced engineers who can strengthen our team and support our projects.

 Tasks and responsibilities

  • Managing a design team of 2 to 5 people depending on the project scope
  • Coordinating, administrating and providing technical output of the design engineering activities related to scope of responsibility
  • Take discipline lead role and work in close collaboration with project managers, system disciplines and other project members
  • Detail mechanical design and documentation
  • Giving technical input to procurement department and to the planner on engineering related activities
  • Bid evaluation and recommendation
  • Secure that the complete scope of work is according to specifications
  • Ensuring compliance to regulations for health, environment and safety
  • Participating in Mechanical Completion and test activities, both internal and with sub suppliers and client.
  • Organizing design reviews within the area of responsibility
  • Providing technical support to sub-contractors and suppliers upon request
  • Organizing design reviews within the area of responsibility
  • Keep up to date with technical developments, National and International standards and legislative requirements related to the mechanical discipline scope

Competence and experience

  • Experience with offshore oil and gas projects
  • Bsc or Msc Degree within Mechanical Design and Construction
  • Minimum 4 years relevant experience preferably with pumps and pumping systems
  • Good knowledge with NORSOK, Statoil TR`s
  • Experience with AutoCad , Inventor or similar 3D tools is an advantage but not required.
  • Familiar with Procosys,
  • Skilled in managing and guiding a group of engineers
  • Ability to show initiative, work independently and in a structured manner
  • Norwegian and English (oral/written)
